The opening round of the 2024/25 Barclays Women’s Super League season will take place on the weekend of Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September.

It means the new campaign gets under way one week earlier than the current season, which was delayed due to the summer World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

However, with the Olympic Games taking place in Paris this summer, 2024/25 will still commence in late, rather than early September as per previous seasons.

The campaign’s final fixture weekend, meanwhile, falls on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May 2025.

The WSL’s winter break will also run from Monday 16 December through to Saturday 18 January 2025.

Knockout round dates have also been confirmed for the 2024/25 Continental Cup, with the group stages set to take place between early October and mid-December.

Should City progress from our group or automatically reach the quarter-finals by virtue of qualifying for the Champions League group stages, then our first fixture in the competition will take place on Wednesday 22 or Thursday 23 January.

The semi-finals are set for Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 February 2025, with the final slated for the weekend of Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 March.

Our WSL fixtures for 2024/25 will be confirmed in the summer following the conclusion of the current campaign.
