Our Battle of the Bands competition is back for the new Barclays Women's Super League season at the Joie Stadium.

The competition provides supporters at selected home matches with the chance to enjoy some pre-match and half-time music in between the action on the pitch.

Our first band are Queen Cult, who will be performing live in on our brand new stage area above the players tunnel before the game against Chelsea and at half-time.

Make sure you have your smart phones at the ready during the break as you, the fans, will be scoring the band out of 100. Just head over to mancity.com/botb.

The winner of our competition (announced on the 5 May 2024) will receive a weeks’ worth of studio time.

WHO ARE QUEEN CULT?

Queen Cult are a three-piece rock band from Macclesfield, Cheshire, formed by lead singer, guitarist and songwriter Maisie Johnson with Brodie Carson playing drums and Piers Jarvis on bass.

With a fierce song-writing style, Queen Cult have released two critically acclaimed EPs so far and their music is generating widespread support from streaming services, radio and press.

Queen Cult are building a strong reputation for their incendiary live show, and have performed at numerous UK festivals including Neighbourhood, Bingley and The Great Escape.



They will release their new single ‘Sneaky Freaque” on October 20th. Their next performances in Manchester are on Oct 9th at Night & Day and November 4th at Deaf Institute.
