Bunny Shaw was on the scoresheet as Jamaica edged Mexico 4-3 in a thrilling away international friendly.

Jamaica’s record goalscorer grabbed her nation’s second at Estadio Victoria, sweeping home a clinical first-time effort after being fed by Drew Spence on 20 minutes.

She also had a hand in the Reggae Girlz’s opener in Mexico, driving from her own half to the edge of the hosts’ box before teeing up Paige Bailey-Gayle, who squared for Jody Brown to tap home.

The hosts replied in an exciting opening 30 minutes when Lizbeth Ovalle found the net, but Jamaica replied soon after when Shaw was brought down in the area.

Deneisha Blackwood converted from the spot to restore their two-goal advantage, but Mexico again halved the deficit before the break through a Rebecca Bernal header.

A game that delivered five goals in the opening 45 minutes had to wait until the 90th minute for its sixth though, with Solai Washington putting the game beyond doubt for the visitors.

Mexico did set up a nervy finish with a Charlyn Corral effort deep into stoppage time, but Shaw and co. held on for the win.
