And before West Ham stopper Mackenzie Arnold had time to properly set herself, Kelly unleashed an unstoppable low drive from distance, which found the far corner of the net.
It was her second of the afternoon, having already opened the scoring with an audacious lob just 60 seconds earlier.
City would go on to win the match 6-2 at the Academy Stadium, with Kelly also grabbing an assist when her corner found Mary Fowler for the game’s final goal.
The England international has also been shortlisted for April’s Player of the Month award having finished with three goals and three assists in as many WSL matches.
