Chloe Kelly was delighted with some of the football on display in Manchester City's 7-0 victory over Sheffield United in the Women’s FA Cup.

The winger was on target for the first time this season while also grabbing three assists in a standout performance at the Academy Stadium.

Victory puts us in the hat for Monday’s fifth round draw and means we have found the net 13 times in our past two fixtures following an emphatic 6-0 win over Bristol City in the Continental Cup.

It’s a win that will live long in the memory for Kelly.

“It was good to be on the scoresheet and great to get some assists too. I was really enjoying myself,” she reflected.

“Overall, I think we played some good football today.

“To reach the next round in the FA Cup is brilliant but we all just enjoyed ourselves. There were loads of goals and it was a good team performance.

On the back of three matches in quick succession, Gareth Taylor has made the most of the squad to keep legs fresh during a demanding period in the season.

And Kelly believes the options that City have at our disposal across the pitch is crucial if we want to challenge for silverware on multiple fronts.

She said: “The depth of our squad is very good and even players off the bench come on and do their thing.

“It’s really positive to have a big squad like that, that’s what you need for a long season like this.

“You gradually build them throughout the season and learn about the players you’re playing with.

“Bunny [Shaw] got the hat-trick today and I got to provide her with some assists, which was great.”
