“At the moment, it’s a bit like feast or famine in the women’s game – there are international breaks and you don’t have a game for ages and then you have four games in 14 days – and I prefer it that way.
“I still think there are areas we can improve on.
“We have to make sure we’re back at it, seeing who is looking fresh for a big push.”

Last time out
Laura Coombs struck a sensational opener against her former Club, as City clinched all three points against Liverpool in the Continental Cup.
The midfielder broke the deadlock three minutes before the break at Prenton Park, controlling Gemma Bonner’s floated through-ball beautifully before dipping a sweetly-struck half-volley beyond Rylee Foster and into the top corner, before second half goals from Rose Lavelle and Jess Park sealed the win.
Running out 3-0 victors, Gareth Taylor’s side produced a dominant and thoroughly professional display to make it two wins from two in Group C.
There was further cause for celebration as Karen Bardsley made her 100th appearance for the Club, marking the achievement with a clean sheet.

Last meeting
The pair last met in February, as City retained our place atop the FA Women’s Super League table with a 1-0 triumph.
Gemma Bonner’s early strike separated the sides at the Academy Stadium, extending the hosts’ impressive league form to six successive victories.
The victory also set a new league record, stretching our home winning streak to 11 games.
