Depending on results elsewhere, Gareth Taylor’s side could move to the WSL summit with victory but, against the reigning champions, we’ll need to be at our best to make that ambition a reality.

It’s sure to be a captivating encounter on Women’s Football Weekend, with a bumper crowd befitting the occasion.

The fixture will be the second occasion this season in which we have sold out at the Academy Stadium, having also done so against Arsenal last month.

On that occasion, early goals from Lauren Hemp and Chloe Kelly helped City on our way to a crucial 2-1 win against the Gunners.

Tickets remain on sale for City’s upcoming home matches after Chelsea’s visit, taking on West Ham United on Sunday 23 April and Reading seven days later.
