The Venezuela international initially joined the Club in July 2022 from Atletico Madrid having helped the Spanish outfit win the Supercopa de Espana Femenina in 2021.
Her switch to Gareth Taylor’s side represented her first taste of English football and she went on to make 36 appearances over an 18-month stay at the Joie Stadium.
During that time, she scored five goals including a thunderbolt in our 2-2 draw with Leicester in the Continental Cup this season.
Throughout her spell in sky blue, Castellanos also featured in historic matches such as our pulsating 1-1 draw with Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium which was played in front of a Club-record crown for a women’s match of 44,259.
However, the 24-year-old has now made the switch to the United States with the NWSL franchise.
Everybody at Manchester City would like to wish Deyna all the very best for the future and thank her for all her contributions during her time at the Club.
