Deyna Castellanos has left Manchester City to join United States outfit Bay FC, subject to a United States work visa.

It signals the end of the Venezuelan international’s 18 months at the Joie Stadium following her arrival at the Club from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2022.

During that time, the versatile forward scored five goals in what was her first taste of English football in a sparkling career where she was included in the final three nominees for the 2017 FIFA Best Women’s Player of the Year.

The 24-year-old made the perfect start to her career in sky blue by netting on her debut in a 6-0 UEFA Champions League qualifier win over Tomiris Turan in August 2022.

Castellanos scored a further four goals for Gareth Taylor’s side – including a thunderbolt in a 2-2 Continental Cup draw with Leicester this term.

Now, she will write the next chapter in her career in the United States with Bay FC.

Everybody at Manchester City would like to wish Deyna all the very best for the future and thank her for all her contributions during her time at the Club.
