Eartha Cumings will wear the No.1 shirt during her time with Manchester City.

The goalkeeper becomes the Blues’ fourth summer signing, penning a three-year contract following the expiry of her deal with Swedish outfit, Rosengard, subject to international clearance.

A Scotland international, she becomes the third player to have the number emblazoned on her City shirt in our professional history after Karen Bardsley and Ellie Roebuck.

Bardsley, a member of our maiden professional side, wore the number during all her 103 appearances for the Club as she helped us to eight major honours – including the 2016 Barclays Women’s Super League title.  

Following the former England international’s retirement in May 2022, Roebuck collected the number ahead of the 2022/23 campaign where she raised her total City outings to 136 before her departure to Barcelona in 2024.  

When Roebuck departed the Club for the Spain, the number remained vacant until Cumings’ arrival this summer.
