Ellen White says City are hitting peak form at the right time as Manchester City grabbed a 4-0 win against Everton in the Women's Super League.

The City skipper was on the scoresheet once again, as she bagged her eighth goal of the season to help her team claim another victory over the Toffees.

An own goal from Simone Magill, an outstretched Alex Greenwood tap in, and a Laura Coombs thunderous strike added to White’s clinical finish.

The result elevated City to be level on points with our city rivals, Manchester United, after a run of only one defeat in our last 10 WSL matches.

And there was more cause for celebration, with the win also marking our 100th win since we became a professional outfit in 2014.

And White shared her pride with that milestone: “That’s really nice!” she smiled.

“It was a good team performance.

“I’m delighted with the whole team and the changes we made. We’re really happy.”

With the campaign drawing to a close the hunt for a top three spot is still on, while Gareth Taylor‘s side are also chasing FA Cup glory.

There are only five league matches left of the season, the first comes against White’s former club Birmingham City on Sunday afternoon. She knows that every game will count in the run up to May.

“We want to keep going, keep the momentum going, gaining points and pushing for a Champions League spot,” the England veteran expressed.

“We’re not looking too far ahead. We have to take each game as it comes.

“We’ve got a lot of confidence and momentum and I’m really proud of the whole group - the staff and everything about the Club.”
