Seven City players are part of the England squad that has taken their country to the final four, and given fans up and down the land hope of a first title.
Lauren Hemp, Keira Walsh and Ellen White have started all four matches up until this point, with Chloe Kelly and Alex Greenwood regularly coming off the bench.
Demi Stokes and Ellie Roebuck have not yet featured on the pitch, but have contributed to the harmonious atmosphere that has carried the squad through.
They will face City team-mate Filippa Angeldahl, one of many stars representing the highest ranked side in Europe, at Bramall Lane on Tuesday.
Each of City’s players appear to be brimming with confidence, something they put down to Sarina Wiegman’s style of management.
Hemp, City’s Player of the Year for 2021/22, is thoroughly enjoying being part of another side encouraged to attack at every opportunity as she is at City. That tactic has reaped rewards as England have found the net 16 times in four matches.
Speaking about Wiegman before the tournament, Hemp said: “She’s a fantastic manager. She’s come in and made a difference – you’ve seen that from the results we’ve had.

“We have a massive squad depth and she’s helped me to learn every single day. Learning under her has been great and it’s made me a better player, as well as the rest of the team.”
Kelly has been used as more of an impact sub, but has still featured in every game thus far.
Having had relatively little international experience before this summer, the 24-year-old has soaked up all the knowledge she can from the Euro 2017 winning coach.
She said: “It’s brilliant to play under Sarina and to learn from such great manager. I’m loving every minute of being here on and off the pitch.”
Greenwood has a wealth of international experience, having made her England debut back in 2014.
The defender believes the feeling off the pitch is just as important as what happens on it when it comes to creating a cohesive unit.
“She’s been brilliant,” Greenwood said of Wiegman earlier in the tournament.
“I think everyone will probably say the same thing but it’s such a relaxed atmosphere here.
“You can be yourself, the player you want to be. I think that’s so important. In tournament football, it’s good to have a relaxed environment where you feel comfortable playing.”
