White and Greenwood were joined in Sarin Wiegman’s starting line up by City colleagues Demi Stokes and Lauren Hemp.
And it proved a veritable goal festival as England ran amok.
Hemp was provider for White’s 12th minute opener, teeing up an inviting cross with the striker applying the finish and she doubled her and England’s tally five minutes later sweeping a shot into the left hand corner of the net.
Former City star Nikita Parris then got in on the scoring act on 27 minutes, heading home from a Fran Kirby cross.
And City defender Greenwood then added to the tally eight minutes from the break with a superb left foot drive.
Greenwood struck again two minutes after the restart before further second half goals arrived from Millie Bright, who also claimed her own brace, Rachel Daly, Beth England and an own goal to make it two wins out of two for the Lionesses in qualifying.
Meanwhile, Filippa Angeldal was on target to help Sweden record a convincing 4-0 win over Georgia in their second World Cup qualifier.
Angeldal opened the scoring on 40 minutes with a brace from Caroline Seger and an effort from Magdalena Eriksson making it two wins out of two in Group A for the Scandinavians.
