To celebrate her 24th birthday, we look back at some of the best images from Esme Morgan’s time at Manchester City.

The defender left the Club in the summer to start a new chapter in her career.

Working her way through the ranks after joining City at Under-15s level, Morgan went on to feature 87 times in all competitions, winning two FA Cups and Continental Cup in the process.

Making her debut as a 16-year-old on the opening day of the 2017/18 campaign, the England international would truly establish herself in the team following a successful loan spell at Everton in 2019/20.

She would even grab her first goal for the Club at the end of the following campaign in a 4-0 win over Birmingham City.

Morgan’s 2021/22 campaign would be cut short by a lower leg fracture, but she returned to once again be an important figure in the team at both full-back and centre-half.

Her influence has also been felt off the pitch though, exemplified by her election to the squad’s leadership group, despite her young age.
