We welcome the Londoners to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday 1 February, with kick-off set for 14:30 (UK).
It promises to be a thrilling clash between two WSL heavyweights, with tickets available to buy here.
If you haven’t got yours already, or still need a bit of convincing, below are five reasons why you should come and support City next Sunday at the Etihad…
GOALS GALORE
If our last match at the Etihad was anything to go by, this one certainly isn’t to be missed!
City faced Manchester United in November 2025 and ran out 3-0 winners after a dominant display.
All three goals came in the first half, with Rebecca Knaak and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw both on target as half-time approached, but the pick of the bunch was still to come.
Indeed, Lauren Hemp’s vicious strike from the edge of the box was the icing on the cake for the Blues, as she found the top corner to put the game beyond doubt.
City matches at the Etihad often means goals, and with our meeting with Chelsea our last outing at the stadium this season, don’t miss out on the experience which includes:
- Alcohol-in-bowl pilot where you can enjoy drinks at your seat.
- Students: £10 tickets.
- Under-16s: £5 tickets.
- Premium seats available from £70, including food and drinks.
Table toppers
First welcomes second to the Etihad Stadium and, while there’s a long way to go this season, all eyes will be on which side can take advantage against a potential rival for the title come May.
City currently hold the advantage, sitting nine points clear after Chelsea’s defeat to Arsenal this weekend.
There are still eight matches to play after Sunday’s showdown, but a win for either side could be a significant blow for the other’s WSL ambitions.
Double-header
The Men’s team play away from home later in the same afternoon, so fans have the chance to follow both games in Manchester.
With City v Chelsea getting underway at 14:30 (UK), you have plenty of time to catch the most hotly anticipated game of the WSL season before catching Pep Guardiola’s side take on Tottenham Hotspur.
The Etihad fixture could even see Andrée Jeglertz’s side go a whopping 12 points clear over second place Chelsea although after a 1-0 loss in the Subway League Cup to the Blues, it will be a tough contest.
Familiar faces
With Lionesses featuring for both sides, why wouldn’t you want to come and watch the best in the country face up against each other?
You could have the potential to see the likes of Hannah Hampton, Khiara Keating, Lucy Bronze, Alex Greenwood, Niamh Charles, Laura Blindkilde Brown, Grace Clinton, Keira Walsh, Aggie Beever-Jones, Lauren James and Lauren Hemp.
It’s an incredible opportunity to see a bunch of current European Champions following England’s 2025 success.
