Following her loan spell at the Joie Stadium during the final six weeks of last season, the goalkeeper has joined from Brighton and Hove Albion - signing a two-year contract with Gareth Taylor’s side.
Having progressed through Gillingham and Chelsea’s academies, she signed for Charlton in 2017 before helping them to promotion to the Championship the following season.
The 25-year-old then cemented her place in the Addicks’ senior side before a switch to the Seagulls in the summer of 2020.
Startup rejoined Charlton on loan before a temporary move to Liverpool in 2021 but returned to the south coast ahead of her emergency arrival at Manchester City during the run-in last term.
She then provided expert competition to Khiara Keating as we narrowly missed out on the Barclays Women’s Super League title – but matched our best top-flight points tally in the process.
Pictured at the City Football Academy before putting pen to paper on her contract, Startup posed for our photographers before completing her first media duties with the Club.
