Gareth Taylor has been nominated for April’s Barclays Women’s Super League Manager of the Month award.

The boss collected February and March’s prize and was on January’s shortlist meaning his latest inclusion on the shortlist is his fourth in succession.

It follows another superb month where the Welshman presided over an 100% record in the league where we scored nine goals and maintained consecutive clean sheets in two matches.

The first of those came in an emphatic 5-0 victory over West Ham at the Joie Stadium where the hosts raced into a three-goal lead inside 24 minutes thanks to goals from Leila Ouahabi and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw (two).

Laura Blindkilde Brown then scored her first for the Club in the closing stages before Jess Park rounded off the scoring soon after.

With goal difference potentially playing a crucial part in this season’s title race, the result provided a precious shot in the arm to our differential before we travelled to relegation-threatened Bristol City.

Then, at Ashton Gate, we recorded a battling 4-0 win over a valiant Vixens with all four goals arriving in the second half.

Mary Fowler injected fresh life into proceedings with a fizzing rocket into the top corner before the Australian doubled our advantage when tapping home Lauren Hemp’s pinpoint cross.

An unfortunate own goal followed which extended our lead further and Alex Greenwood added gloss to the scoreline when heading home her first of the season.

The back-to-back wins mean we sit at the division’s summit heading into our final two WSL assignments of the season.

Taylor is shortlisted alongside Arsenal’s Jonas Eidevall and Everton’s Brian Sorensen for the award.

Voting closes on Monday 6 May at 10:00 (UK) – choose the boss for Manager of the Month here.
