The Australian featured 47 times for City over two seasons, helping us claim the Continental Cup in March 2022.
She grabbed nine goals during that time, including a late equaliser in last year’s FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley.
Speaking after our final day victory over Everton, Taylor wished the winger well after two years of stellar service.
“Yeah, she has (energy and quality), I’ve been pleased to work with Hayley over last two years,” the boss reflected.
“She’s so close to being at another level, especially with the things she has.
“I believe she’s improved a lot while being here and has had to really compete with Chloe [Kelly],Lauren [Hemp] and Julie Blakstad, which isn’t easy because these are top players.
“She goes with our best wishes and we look forward to seeing what she does next and how she does at the World Cup as well.”
The boss also highlighted the performance of Khiara Keating after the 18-year-old’s impressive display between the sticks for City.
Our goalkeeper was brought in following Ellie Roebuck’s suspension against Manchester United last week and put in another assured performance against the Toffees.
Keating’s exploits across the season would also see her win the Club’s Rising Star award, presented to her at full-time.
The future is bright for Keating, according to the City boss, who has three excellent stoppers at his disposal in the youngster, Roebuck and Sandy MacIver.
He said: “They all bring different things and are all unique in what they do.
“With Khiara, considering her age and the environment she’s gone into, she played in big games last season and showed promise.
“I think she’s in a good place and we’re excited by the future.
“With what she has and displayed today, quick off her line, takes crosses, makes saves and has good understanding of build-up and a lovely ball striking technique.”
