The winger withdrew from the latest England squad to receive treatment on a thigh complaint sustained before the international break.
City travel to Walton Hall Park on Saturday 19 November, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 (UK) as we aim for a fifth successive WSL victory.
Asked whether Hemp would be included against the Toffees, the boss explained that a final call would be made in the coming hours.
“She obviously picked up something quite slight from Reading,” Taylor revealed.
“We will find out a little bit more over the next 24 hours if she’ll be available or not.
“We took the precaution over the last few days to keep her out of the training practices.
“We’ll have some news in 24 hours.”

It’s an impressive run, in stark contrast to a difficult start to the campaign, where defeats to Aston Villa and Chelsea belied some promising performances.
But the boss insists that, with a number of new faces through the door, it was only a matter of time before things clicked.
He reflected: “I don’t think anything’s changed dramatically. A couple of personnel here or there but it’s just more time with each other, that’s the key one.
“We had two tough away fixtures, we then go into a few home fixtures and a period of time where we worked together for longer.
“We said previously when discussing Everton, you see the best in any elite sport when there’s a clear plan and time for adaptation.
“New players need a bit of time and unfortunately at the moment with the setup of the women’s game with the Euros, World Cups, Olympics, you don’t really get a pre-season.
“The more you can work with the same players I think it gives you really good things.
“We feel we’re in a really good place with good personalities and players, that’ll help the team in the long run.”
