Gareth Taylor, Lauren Hemp and Chloe Kelly have been nominated in January's FA Women’s Super League awards.

Manager Taylor has been shortlisted for the Manager of the Month award for the third month in a row, while in-form forwards Hemp and Kelly have been named in the Player of the Month category.

Following a flawless December, City picked up three wins from our four January games - triumphant in all three league clashes to climb the table.

Eighteen goals in those three encounters - gained with successive 7-0 and 7-1 thrashings, plus a 4-0 victory - saw Taylor’s side become the division’s leading goalscorers.

At the heart of some of City’s best attacks, both Hemp and Kelly starred throughout the month.

Hemp announced her return from injury in style, showing the league what they have missed by bagging two goals and three assists.

In similar fashion, Kelly also played a key role, crafting five assists in total - three in the record-breaking win at Brighton and Hove Albion - and scoring twice.

Such were their contributions, the pair both earned a Player of the Match award apiece in the month’s opening two games.

Our trio face stiff competition, with Taylor lining up against Chelsea’s Emma Hayes and Manchester United’s Casey Stoney, while Hemp and Kelly lock horns with Chelsea pair Fran Kirby and Melanie Leupolz, and United’s Ella Toone.

Voting closes on Monday 8 February with the winners to be announced on Wednesday 17 February via the @BarclaysFAWSL Twitter account.

Good luck to all three of our nominees.
