The victory could have been by a more handsome margin but had to withstand plenty of pressure from the hosts in equal measure.
And while the boss feels his team could’ve put the game to bed earlier on, he expressed his personal pride at how City were able to grind out the result.
“It’s tough when you a play a team like Leicester who go player for player,” Taylor reflected.
“It makes it difficult to play our flowing game. We had so many good opportunities, but the second half was a bit more even.
“The last 15 minutes we have to be a bit more ruthless, but I have to say it gives me a buzz that the players are so determined to get the clean sheet and the win.”
City go into the upcoming international break with an unbeaten start to the new season under our belt.

But with a trip to Arsenal on the horizon when the WSL gets back under way, we’ll need to be at our best to continue that rich vein of form.
An away clash at Manchester United follows a fortnight later, with a home fixture against Brighton sandwiched in between.
And while Taylor insists that every game is a challenge, he believes a positive result against either the Gunners or in the Manchester derby could be of huge significance come season’s end.
He said: “Always when you play the so-called other contenders it’s important to take as many points as you can.
“That’s always been more or less how the title’s been shaped.
“Every game is big, there’s no game in the WSL which you look at and say: ‘that’s three points’.
“It was important to finish on a strong, positive win that sets us up nicely for the break.”
