Gareth Taylor and Lucy Bronze have been nominated in February's FA Women’s Super League awards.

Manager Taylor has been shortlisted for the Manager of the Month award for the fourth month in a row, while FIFA’s The Best Women’s Player of the Year Bronze has been named in the Player of the Month category.

Continuing our sensational 2021, City enjoyed a flawless February, picking up three wins from three, scoring nine goals and conceding just once.

Impressive victories over fellow top four outfits Arsenal and Manchester United, followed by a thumping 4-0 win over Birmingham, lifted Taylor’s side to within two points of league leaders Chelsea - with the pair set to meet at the Academy Stadium in April.

Bronze played a pivotal role throughout the month, netting the opening goal in our superb Manchester Derby win, and helping her side to two clean sheets from the three games.

Our duo face stiff competition, with Taylor lining up against Reading’s Kelly Chambers and Brighton and Hove Albion’s Hope Powell, while Bronze locks horns with Everton loanee Jill Scott, Reading’s Natasha Harding and Brighton’s Aileen Whelan.

Voting closes on Monday 8 March with the winners to be announced on Wednesday 17 March via the @BarclaysFAWSL Twitter account.

Good luck to both of our nominees.
