The forward’s latest treble helped City record a 5-1 victory, with Chloe Kelly’s late penalty and a Gemma Bonner own goal securing a deserved win at the Joie Stadium.
Victory ensured the hosts moved back to within three points of the Barclays Women’s Super League summit, while Shaw returned to the top of the scoring charts with a third hat-trick in her last four league outings.
But it was the forward’s performance away from the goals which really caught the eye of the boss.
He said: “The most impressive thing for me with Bunny is, you accept she’ll score goals, but it’s the other parts of her game.
“Her holdup play has really improved and the way she pressed was magnificent.
“When you think about her transition into the Club, she had to compete with Ellen White for the number nine shirt but now and last season she’s took it on herself.
“She has a proven track record for her country and when she played in France, she outscored all of the top players.
“You know the talent’s there and she’s working hard on her game, and she also appreciates the opportunities she gets from her team-mates.”
Taylor also provided an update on the condition of both Kerstin Casparij and Lauren Hemp, who were both forced off through injury.
Casparij was replaced after just ten minutes following an early challenge from Missy Bo Kearns, while Hemp was on the receiving end of a nasty collision from Liverpool stopper Teagan Micah.
Thankfully, the boss’ early assessment was that there wasn’t too much cause for concern.

“She’s absolutely fine,” the boss said of Hemp’s injury.
“It didn’t look great, but she was fine and wanted to go back and play some more but I didn’t want to take the risk.
“She put a lot of energy into the game, she was very good without the ball as well. She’s absolutely fine.
“Kerstin Casparij is okay, she might be a sore one for a couple of days, but there’s no structural damage.
“It’s just a bit of a gash and some swelling.”
