The boss guided City to a 100% record across the month in all competitions.
Either side of battling wins over Spurs (Continental Cup) and Arsenal (FA Cup), we recorded fine league wins over Leicester and Chelsea which further enhanced our title credentials and extended our winning streak to 11-straight matches.
Throughout the 180 minutes of WSL action, we scored three goals and maintained back-to-back clean sheets.
Lauren Hemp and Chloe Kelly were the heroes as their late goals helped City secure a 2-0 victory over a valiant Leicester side at the Joie Stadium.
Then, after securing passage into the Conti Cup semi-finals and FA Cup quarter-finals, Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s strike at Kingsmeadow saw us record a hard fought 1-0 win over Chelsea.
It means the Blues are level on points with the league leading Londoners approaching the final eight WSL matches of the term.
And that fantastic run of results has seen Taylor claim his first Manager of the Month award of 2023/24 – fending off competition from Matt Beard and Carla Ward.
Reflecting on claiming the prize, the boss said: “I’m really pleased to win this after another great month for the team. It’s been a collective effort from everyone on and off the pitch.
“Going all the way unbeaten from November to now is an incredible effort from everyone involved with the team and we’re looking forward to the challenges ahead in all competitions.”
Congratulations on winning Manager of the Month, Gareth!
