Georgia Stanway's sensational long-range strike against Birmingham has been nominated for December's FA WSL Goal of the Month.

The City and England midfielder netted an absolute rocket to level the score at St Andrew’s - a crucial moment in a topsy-turvy, five-goal thriller with Gareth Taylor’s side snatching all three points late on.

The 22-year-old, standing in at right-back, collected Caroline Weir‘s pass 30 yards out and took a touch before unleashing an unstoppable effort past Marie Hourihan to make it 1-1.

Stanway is one of eight contenders for the award.
