A Hayley Raso goal helped Australia to a 2-0 international friendly win over Thailand, with Mary Fowler also featuring for the Matildas.

Tony Gustavsson’s side had already beaten Sweden 4-0 on Saturday, with Fowler on target in Melbourne.

And it was her Club and international team-mate Raso’s turn to get on the scoresheet in their latest encounter.

Chelsea forward Sam Kerr had already handed Australia the lead on the stroke of half-time, with Fowler introduced at the break.

And the Matildas enjoyed a lightning start to the second 45, with Raso on target within minutes of the restart.

The winger picked up play around 40 yards from the visiting goal and, after racing in to the area, coolly slotted home into the bottom corner.

It was just rewards for the 28-year-old, who also hit the woodwork three times at Central Coast Stadium.

Another convincing performance from the 2023 World Cup hosts, who have now won each of their last four matches.

CITY V UNITED: ETIHAD DERBY

City welcome Manchester United to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday 11 December.

Kick-off is scheduled for 12:30 (UK), with tickets selling fast for our third-ever women’s match at the Etihad.

We hosted Everton there back in May 2014, before welcoming our local rivals in September 2019, when Caroline Weir’s wonder strike saw us run out 1-0 winners in front of what was then a WSL record crowd, and what remains a club record of 31, 213 fans.

With over 30,000 tickets already sold, it promises to be another historic occasion.
