Already assured of their spot in the final play-off round, the Matildas added a further victory to their qualifying campaign with a flurry of goals after the break, with Fowler and Alanna Kennedy featuring for the full 90 minutes in Perth.
That’s not to say they didn’t threaten the visitors’ goal before half-time though, with Fowler rattling the post inside 14 minutes.
A lively evening for the City forward continued when she forced another fine save on the stroke of half-time, but Fowler would get the goal her standout performance deserved after the hour.
Picking up play on the left flank, the 20-year-old cut inside and unleashed an unstoppable drive, finding the top corner of the visiting net in spectacular fashion.
It was the moment of quality that the Matildas needed, with Sam Kerr doubling the advantage soon after.
And a third would follow from substitute Tameka Yallop with around 15 to play as Kennedy, Fowler and co. cruised to victory.
Meanwhile, Yui Hasegawa helped Japan reach the final round of qualifying with a 2-0 win over Vietnam.
The City midfielder started for the World Cup quarter-finalists in Tashkent, as goals from Risa Shimizu and Miyabi Moriya earned all three points.
It means Hasegawa and co. finish the latest round of qualifying with a 100% record following further victories over Uzbekistan and India.
The final round of Olympic qualifying takes place in February, with Hasegawa potentially facing her Australian City team-mates should they be drawn against each other in a two-legged play-off.
