The youngster is pushing for a start in Sunday’s mouth-watering meeting of the Manchester clubs, as Gareth Taylor’s side host United in a crucial FA Women’s Super League clash.
Park, who hails from York but has always supported City, has impressed this season with a string of impressive displays on the right flank.
Introduced from the bench in the last league Derby, the winger made an instant impact, crafting City’s vital equaliser with a stunning long-range effort that Mary Earps had to tip onto the crossbar with Ellen White on hand to tuck home the rebound.
The 20-year-old also played a key role in helping City to secure a place in the Continental Cup Final, bagging a goal and two assists in our win over Tottenham Hotspur, making a name for herself as one of the most exciting young wingers in the country.
Ahead of this weekend’s eagerly-awaited contest, our Blue wonder says she would love nothing more than to show what she can do against the Reds, as she looks to embody the passion of the City faithful on the pitch with a sell-out crowd expected at the Academy Stadium.
“There’s a bit more passion and a desire to win on Derby Day,” she smiled, speaking to mancity.com.
“It’s a great rivalry. You always want to beat United and I’m sure they feel the same way.
“It’s a great game to play in. Hopefully I can make an impact again. I came on in the away game and got an assist, which was really good.
“I was glad I could help the team to get the draw and I’m working hard to keep contributing.”
Sunday’s encounter will see Alex Greenwood face her former employers, having switched from Red to Blue via European heavyweights Olympique Lyonnais, where the defender lifted the Champions League trophy.
A mainstay in the City backline, having featured in every single game this season, the England star has earned praise for her professionalism, consistency and leadership, proving a perfect role model to the younger players.
Perhaps that is most evident for Park. The youngster says her defensive counterpart has taken the forward under her wing, sharing the benefit of her experience, knowledge and wisdom to aid the starlet’s development.

While the pair share a strong camaraderie, Park reveals Greenwood’s honesty, selflessness and desire to inspire are the traits that stand her out as a true friend.
“Alex is my best mate in the squad,” she added. “We get on really well. She’s always got my back and she’s always there for me.
“That’s what you need from a best mate: giving you their shoulder when you need it and helping you through the whole experience, but she also pushes me hard every day.
“I think the best thing about our relationship is that she’s always honest with me. I need that because I want to improve, and that help and advice is really useful for a young player, especially from top players.
“It’s great to play with them and learn from them. I aspire to be like them one day.”
