Jess Park has won March’s Barclays Women’s Super League Player of the Month award.

As Manchester City’s charge for the league title continued, the England international enjoyed a superb month with three goals and two assists.

After a 2-1 home win over Everton opened the month, a fine 4-1 victory away at Brighton followed in the league with Park providing the assist for Lauren Hemp’s opener at Broadfield Stadium.

She then starred in the Manchester derby, played in front of over 40,000 supporters at the Etihad Stadium, when she bagged a brace to hand the hosts a commanding lead before the break.

The 22-year-old, recently utilised in a more central role, then turned provider for Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw when the former regained possession and slid the ball into the Jamaican’s path who coolly slotted home.

At Liverpool, our final WSL assignment in March, Park found the net once again when rounding off a beautifully crafted team move to fire home via the post.

She fought off competition from team-mate Shaw, Chelsea’s Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, Aston Villa’s Adrianna Leon, Lisa Naalsund of Manchester United and Brighton’s Elisabeth Terland for the prize.

It also represents the second successive City winner of the award after Khiara Keating earned the gong in February.

Congratulations on winning March’s WSL Player of the Month, Jess!
