The legendary City and England shot-stopper reached the milestone in the Continental Cup group stage clash at Liverpool - almost exactly seven years to the day since she made the move to Manchester.
One of the Club’s first signings when we turned professional, Bardsley is one of the longest-serving members of the squad and one of the most important contributors to our success.

Since joining the Club in November 2013, ahead of our maiden campaign in the top flight, the California-born Lioness has played an integral role in aiding our league, FA Cup and Conti Cup triumphs, in addition to our consecutive Champions League semi-final spots.
Perhaps most notably, she starred with an influential performance in the 2019 Conti Cup victory over Arsenal at Bramall Lane, producing two excellent saves to thwart the Gunners in the penalty shoot-out.
She also kept European Champions Lyon at bay with a wonderful individual display, keeping a clean-sheet with a string of exceptional saves in a goalless draw at the Academy Stadium.
A commanding presence and superb shot-stopper, Bardsley is regarded as a legend of the game for Club and country.
Eligible for the England national team through family connections to Stockport, she has been a stalwart between the sticks since making her senior debut in 2005 and now stands tall the Lionesses’ most-capped ‘keeper (second only to Peter Shilton overall).
An inspiration to all budding goalkeepers, she has represented her country at three World Cups, plus European Championships and even the Olympics, having collected five caps for the Great British team at the 2012 London Games.

Bardsley would certainly have earned her 100th City appearance in the 2019/20 campaign but was sadly sidelined through injury sustained at the 2019 World Cup in France.
The esteemed accomplishment is long-awaited but thoroughly deserved.
