Congratulations to Kerstin Casparij, who’s finished the 2025/26 Barclays Women’s Super League season at the top of the assists chart.

The full-back set up her team-mates seven times across the campaign, with only Aston Villa’s Lynn Wilms able to match that tally in the top flight.

Casparij has also become only the third defender in WSL history to register ten goal contributions in a single season alongside Katie McCabe and Ona Batlle.

One of City’s standout performers across 2025/26, the Netherlands international has also been shortlisted for the WSL’s Player of the Season award for the first time in her career.

Kerstin’s first WSL assist of the season came in our 4-1 win over London City Lionesses when she set up Vivianne Miedema, before following that up with an inch-perfect cross for Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw in our 3-1 victory over Arsenal one week later.

Two more assists followed in perhaps her finest attacking performance of the campaign, when she once again combined with Shaw and Lauren Hemp in a 3-0 win over Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium.

Her tally for 2025/26 was then completed when setting up Kerolin in a 2-0 win over Everton, before finding the head of Miedema in our 5-1 victory over Chelsea in February 2026.

Everyone at City would like to congratulate Kerstin on finishing with the most assists in the WSL this season.
