Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s sublime lob in Manchester City’s 4-1 win over Everton has been shortlisted for December’s Barclays Women’s Super League Goal of the Month award.

The clinical striker extinguished the disappointment of missing an earlier penalty on Merseyside with a superb chip over the Toffees’ over Courtney Brosnan to break the deadlock.

That set the tone for a rampant display by Gareth Taylor’s side at Walton Hall Park with the Jamaican bagging a second league hat-trick of the season alongside Jill Roord’s classy first-half strike.

Shaw’s first of three arrived on nine minutes when she latched onto an accurate ball played behind the hosts defence before producing a delicate dink over the onrushing goalkeeper.

And Bunny’s opener has been nominated for December’s Goal of the Month award alongside strikes from Arsenal’s Alessia Russo, Spurs’ Martha Thomas, Chelsea’s Erin Cuthbert, Everton’s Aurora Galli, Aston Villa’s Danielle Turner and Chelsea’s Lauren James.
