Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw has been nominated for October’s Barclays Women’s Super League Player of the Month award.

The Jamaican was at the centre of a hugely successful month for City, which saw us claim consecutive victories against Leicester, Tottenham and Liverpool.

Shaw was on target in each of those encounters, finishing the month with five goals in just three WSL matches.

The striker currently sits top of the scoring charts in the top flight, with six strikes to her name across our five fixtures so far.

She also turned provider in our 2-1 victory against Liverpool, laying on for Hayley Raso to smash home the winner at the Academy Stadium.

And those exploits have been recognised by her inclusion in the latest Player of the Month shortlist.

The Jamaican faces stiff competition from Manchester United duo Mary Earps and Leah Galton, West Ham’s Dagny Brynjarsdottir, Chelsea’s Lauren James and Arsenal’s Frida Maanum.

Voting closes at 10:00 (UK) on Monday 7 November, with the winner announced at noon on Thursday 10 November.

Good luck, Bunny!
