A look back at Bunny Shaw's record-breaking 2025/26 WSL campaign.

The Jamaican joined the Club on this day in 2021, grabbing 118 goals in 138 appearances since her move from Bordeaux.

Our record goalscorer and the first player in our professional history to find the net over 100 times, Shaw has already achieved legendary status at City.

But 2025/26 will perhaps go down as her most defining campaign to date, with our number nine’s goals helping fire the Blues to a first WSL title in a decade.

Indeed, her displays earned individual recognition with Shaw scooping Etihad Player of the Season, WSL Player of the Season, FWA Women’s Player of the Season, Women’s Football Awards Player of the Season and The Athletic Women’s Footballer of the Year.

To celebrate Bunny’s five-year anniversary at City, we look back at some of the incredible numbers behind her WSL season in 2025/26.

Read them in-depth below…

THREE-PEAT

Goals have typified Shaw’s stay at City since she arrived at the Club in the summer of 2021 and the current campaign has been no different.

Of her 27 goals in all competitions, 21 of those came in the WSL which earned her the division’s Golden Boot.

Leading the way in 2023/24 and 2024/25, this season’s success has seen her become the first player ever to win three WSL Golden Boots in a row.

POACHER

Remarkably, all of her 21 WSL goals in 2025/26 came from inside the box.

The closest players to Shaw’s numbers from inside the area were Arsenal’s Alessia Russo and Aston Villa’s Kirsty Hanson, who netted 11 each.

100 CLUB

Shaw once again etched her name in City’s history books by becoming the first player in our professional era to score 100 goals for the Club.

She did so when netting the first of four goals in a 6-1 victory over Aston Villa at the Joie Stadium in December.

At present, her current tally stands at a staggering 118 with one match still to play in 2025/26.

MORE THAN GOALS

To say Shaw is defined just by goals would be doing the Jamaican a disservice.

She played in all 22 of City’s triumphant WSL campaign and often set the tone for her tireless work rate and commitment to the cause.

Bunny registered four assists in the WSL and her total of 26 ball retrievals in the final third was only bettered by Chelsea’s Erin Cuthbert (27) and Jess Park (30).

She also won more duels than any other player in the WSL 152 in total.

STEPPING UP

Across the 2025/26 campaign, City showcased our ability under Jeglertz to fight until the end with a swathe of late goals.

Shaw was central to that success, grabbing more goals in the final ten minutes of matches in the WSL than any other player, with six in total.
