Khiara Keating has been shortlisted for October’s Barclays Women’s Super League Player of the Month award.

City began the 2023/24 season unbeaten across our opening four matches with wins over West Ham, Bristol City and Leicester and recorded a dramatic 1-1 draw with title holders, Chelsea.

Thanks to our strong start to the campaign, we currently sit first in the league table, with the 19-year-old goalkeeper at the centre of our promising term so far.

The England Youth international was given the nod between the sticks for our first assignment with the Hammers, before producing a professional display to earn a clean sheet in the 2-0 win.

She then followed this up with a superb performance in our draw with Emma Hayes’ side by exhibiting a string of impressive saves to help the nine-player hosts at the Joie Stadium gain a point.

Back-to-back shutouts in victories over the Vixens (5-0) and Foxes (1-0) rubber-stamped her standout start to the season so far.

As a result of her displays Keating was named in her maiden England senior squad for the Nations League double header with Belgium.

The 19-year-old faces competition from Niamh Charles (Chelsea), Jenna Clarke (Liverpool), Lena Petermann (Leicester), Elisabeth Terland (Brighton) and Martha Thomas (Spurs) for the prize.

Voting closes at 10:00 (UK) on Monday 30 October. Click here to cast your vote!
