The City duo enjoyed respective months at opposite ends of the pitch to help City go unbeaten in the league.
A 5-1 win over Liverpool, where Shaw bagged her third hat-trick of the campaign, to help City overcome a one-goal deficit to pick up another three points on home soil.
The Jamaica international also doubled City’s lead in away our trip to Tottenham Hotspur.
Shaw’s first-time finish flew into the back of the net from close range to see City win 2-0 and extend our winning run to six.
The strike against Spurs was Shaw’s 13th of the WSL campaign, one more than Lauren James’ 12 as the two look the likely contenders for this season’s golden boot.
Can she win the award for a second consecutive month?
Alongside her in the nomination list is centre-back Aleixandri who is shortlisted for the first time this season.
In our away trip to Tottenham Hotspur, Aleixandri was a key figure as City beat Spurs 2-0, with the Spanish centre-back showcasing a hard-working performance to help Gareth Taylor’s side maintain a fifth league clean sheet.
It’s been a phenomenal season for Aleixandri so far, including her first City goal in our 5-0 league win over Bristol City, with her composure and ability to read the game pivotal in City’s title charge.
The City duo are up against West Ham’s Viviane Asseyi, Leicester City’s Janice Cayman, Arsenal’s Emily Fox and Chelsea forward Lauren James.
