With four goals and three assists already to her name in 2022/23, the versatile midfielder is enjoying her best season in front of goal for the Club.
And her form last month certainly contributed - as she netted in back-to-back WSL fixtures against Brighton and Manchester United.
Coombs began the month with a superb striker in our 3-1 victory over the Seagulls, as her venomous effort from the edge of the area flew into the top corner.
The strike - her third of the campaign at the time - has since been shortlisted for December’s Barclays Women’s Super League’s Goal of the Month.
A week later, she further added to her goal tally with a smart, close-range header to earn City a point against Manchester United in front of over 44,000 fans at the Etihad Stadium.
The midfielder has fended off competition from Chelsea duo Guro Reiten and Fran Kirby, Arsenal striker Vivianne Miedema and Red Devils pair Ona Battle and Leah Galton to the award.
And her form across December has also seen her nominated for December’s WSL Player of the Month award.
