Lauren Hemp has become the latest 'City Centurion', having made her 100th appearance for the Club.

The England international reached the milestone in our FA Women’s Super League clash against Brighton and Hove Albion at the Academy Stadium and celebrated the feat with a goal in a 7-2 win - fittingly, City’s 100th goal of the season.

The winger, who joined the Club in May 2018, is regarded as one of the most exciting wingers in world football.

Across her 100 appearances, she has lifted three trophies: two Continental Cups and an FA Cup, and has scored 40 goals, including one in the 2019 FA Cup Final at Wembley.

The 21-year-old has played 81 league matches with no player having played more WSL games before turning 22. She has 29 league goals with only Georgia Stanway (29) scoring that amount aged 21 or younger in the division, while Hemp has the most assists before turning 22.

Highly rated despite her tender years for her electric pace, trickery and finishing ability, Hemp has been named the PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year on three occasions and also won the Women’s Rising Star gong at the North West Football Awards.

Since making her senior debut for England in 2019, she has also blossomed on the international stage for England, helping the Lionesses to Arnold Clark Cup success and scoring six goals in 19 appearances.

She also represented Team GB at the Tokyo Olympics.

Committing her immediate future to the Club, Hemp penned a new two-year contract with City in January this year.

Many congratulations, Lauren!
