The news yields a second ‘double’ nomination for Hemp, who has also been shortlisted for what would be a record-breaking fourth PFA Young Player of the Year title.

The winger also clinched the Club’s Player of the Season gong at our End of Season awards, having completed a memorable year as our top scorer with an astonishing 21 goals in 37 appearances.

Defender Greenwood ended the campaign as our highest appearance maker, featuring in all 38 of our games, starting all bar one.

She was also named in the final shortlist for the Club’s Player of the Season award, having led by example, standing in as captain in Steph Houghton‘s absence and producing contributions at both ends of the pitch with five goals to her name and five assists, while City maintained a strong record of clean sheets.

The PFA Awards will be broadcast on Thursday 9 June at 19:00 UK time on the PFA’s social media channels. You can also find out if either player has been successful on mancity.com and the official Man City app.
