Hemp and City colleagues Alex Greenwood and Chloe Kelly all started while Jess Park was a second half substitute as the Lionesses rounded off their Spanish trip with another impressive display.
Sarina Wiegmann’s side got off to the perfect opening in Algeciras when Lotte Wubben-Moy headed home from a second minute corner, her effort beating Italian keeper Laura Giuliani.
The Lionesses’ flying start then got even better when City’s Hemp doubled their advantage on 21 minutes.
There was a touch of fortune about the goal, Everton’s Aurora Galli mistimed a clearance, blasting the ball off the leg of Hemp, and the ball dribbled past the helpless Italy ‘keeper.
England’s dominance was then further rewarded on 34 minutes when Hemp bagged her second and the Lionesses’ third.
She latched onto an inviting Georgia Stanway cross and powered a header past Giuliani into the goal after Italy had failed to clear an initial corner.
England almost added a fourth before the break after a superb pass by Grace Clinton put in Chloe Kelly.
The City striker’s initial effort was blocked and Giuliani then reacted instantly to parry away when Alessia Russo looked set to force in the follow up.
However the Italians pulled a goal back just before the break when Michela Cambiaghi pounced on an England error before slipping a shot past Mary Earps.
A piece of Kelly magic almost saw England further extend their advantage six minutes into the second half.
She picked out Clinton with a superb delivery but the defender’s header was just off target.
A fourth goal did arrive though on 69 minutes when substitute Ella Toone latched onto a fine ball from fellow replacement Lauren James before Toone despatched a fine first time finish.
Kelly made way for Rachel Daly on 71 minutes and it was high fives for the Lionesses when Daly also made an instant impact from the bench to fire home a fifth goal 11 minutes from time after intercepting an under-hit back pass to complete a fine afternoon’s work.
