Lauren Hemp has been nominated for the Barclays Women’s Super League Player of the Month for November.

The winger was at her brilliant best for City in the WSL, netting two goals and grabbing one assist across three matches against Leicester City, Chelsea and Aston Villa respectively.

Hemp’s first goal of the month came in our 4-1 comeback win away to the Foxes when she latched onto Georgia Stanway’s incisive pass in behind to smash home our third of the afternoon.

She turned provider against Aston Villa two weeks later, playing the ball back into the path of Caroline Weir for our opener at the Academy Stadium.

And she was on target herself soon after, tapping home after drifting in unmarked at the far post to meet Hayley Raso’s low ball across the face of goal.

This most recent nomination comes after Hemp claimed the Athletic Women’s Rising Star of the Season accolade at the recent North West Football Awards.
