The City winger produced a superb display in what was a pulsating 2-2 derby deadlock at Leigh Sports Village.
After being reduced to 10 players following the sending off of Georgia Stanway, City then took a deserved first half lead through Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s header.
However, two goals inside five minutes in the second half looked to have secured victory for United.
But City show huge character by fighting back to claim a draw through substitute Ellen White’s late leveller.

And as she reflected on what was an action-packed encounter, Hemp said she believed both the result and the manner of the derby display could help kickstart City’s campaign after a series of tough results.
“I’m so proud of how we turned it round this week - it just shows how together the whole team is and hopefully this will be the turning point,” the England international asserted.
“We’ve been really disappointed with how it’s started but, as I say, I’m hoping this will be the turning point.
“The grit and determination that we showed through game…
“It was unfortunate to go down to 10 men but I think the character we showed to go 1-0 up and then finding we were 2-1 down, I think the fight and determination in the whole game was top drawer.
“We’ve not really been on form in the last few weeks.

“We’ve worked really hard in training this week and I think today we showed the quality this team has - that’s what you want in Manchester derbies.
“I think we did it justice and I’m so proud of the team
“Obviously United are a really good team and credit to them but we showed just how well we can play even with 10 players.”
After three successive defeats in the FA Women’s Super League the point was the perfect response from Gareth Taylor and his players.
And Hemp added that it was also testament to the togetherness of the group.
“It was important we bounced back from recent results,” she added.
“The character of every single person on that pitch I’m proud of them all
“This is just the beginning for us and hopefully now we will go on and get the results that we do deserve.”
