It follows the continuation of England international’s stellar form since the end of September where she scored two goals and registered two assists across our previous three league outings.
That has helped Gareth Taylor’s side sit at the division’s summit and remain unbeaten across our nine outings in all competitions so far this term.
Hemp started October by scoring our first in a 2-0 success over West Ham when she remained composed inside the after receiving Mary Fowler’s pass before dropping her shoulder and poking into the net.
She followed this up with an industrious and crucial display in our superb 2-0 win over Barcelona in the Champions League before providing the assist to Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s first of two strikes as we came from behind to beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield.
Another assist came in our enthralling 3-2 away Champions League win over St Polten before she played a starring role in our comeback success over Aston Villa to close the month.
Having fallen behind to the Villans at the Joie Stadium, she equalised with a sublime lob ahead of her assist for Jill Roord’s winner.
And her sparkling WSL displays sees her on the shortlist for October’s Player of the Month alongside Celine Bizet (Manchester United), Annabel Blanchard (Crystal Palace), Sophie Howard (Leicester), Johanna Rytting Kaneryd (Chelsea) and Nikita Parris (Brighton).
