Leila Ouahabi has paid an emotional tribute to the Manchester City supporters ahead of her final match for the Club this Sunday.

The defender has confirmed she’ll be leaving the Blues at the end of the 2025/26 campaign, meaning our FA Cup final clash with Brighton will be her final appearance.

She’s featured 105 times so far for City and has become only the second Spaniard to win the WSL title after our success this season.

And ahead of her departure, Leila has thanked our fans for your amazing support of her and the team over the past four years.

She said: “Hi City fans, it’s time to say goodbye.

“Sunday is going to be my last game with this shirt, and I wanted to say thanks for the all the support over the past four seasons. I wanted you to know this league title is yours too.

“Thanks for everything and I will be another City fan. Thank you, Manchester.

“I’m proud and happy to have helped the team win the league title we wanted so badly. I have always given 100%, helping the team be among the best every single year.

“It was a big change for me and a new personal challenge due to the different culture and language. It has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life, because coming here has brought me so many positive things and I have met incredible people that I will keep for life.

“I have a message for the City fans, just a huge thank you for always being there, for supporting us at both home and away matches and being part of every single achievement we’ve accomplished.

“It hasn’t been an easy decision, but I felt it was time to close this chapter, think about myself and make the best decision for my future.

“It’s been four very good years in Manchester, but it’s inevitable to feel sad when you’re leaving a place that feels like your home.

“I will always keep an eye on City’s results, and I will always be just another fan.”
