The WSL champions rode our luck at times, but ultimately came away with a hard-fought three points to extend our unbeaten run to 15 matches in all competitions.
Two of the WSL’s early pacesetters did battle in Bromley, with London City Lionesses piling on the pressure in the opening exchanges.
City perhaps went closest to the first goal in the opening 45 though, with Rebecca Knaak seeing a header expertly tipped onto the post by Mary Earps to keep it at 0-0.

We would eventually take the lead early in the second 45 though, having withstood plenty of London City pressure, as Shaw rounded Earps and fired into the net for her 11th of the season.
Shaw almost grabbed a second soon after when she struck the base of the post, before London City drew level through a Jana Fernandez header.
The hosts perhaps deserved to draw level after squandering a host of chances, but City instantly hit back when Hemp met Mary Fowler’s cross to ultimately hand us all three points.
Once again we had to weather a London City storm, but the WSL champions held out to earn all three points.
