City currently sit second in the Barclays Women’s Super League table and also secured passage to the UEFA Women’s Champions League knockout stages before the Christmas break.

City returned for the new year in high spirits, beginning with a short gym session at Emirates Palace before taking to the field for warm-ups and possession-based exercises.
New signing Rebecca Knaak took part in her first training drills with the team, while Vivianne Miedema‘s return to the full session was also a welcome sight.
Elsewhere, Lily Murphy tested her shooting skills against Khiara Keating at the end of the session while Laura Blindkilde Brown and Aoba Fujino also practiced their first touches.
