Once again a dramatic late twist saw them beat Italy in the semis, with an injury time equaliser from Michelle Agyemang forcing extra time, with Chloe Kelly then sealing the win in the 119th minute.
Spain will hold fond memories from the two sides’ last meeting at a major tournament, having won 1-0 back in the 2023 World Cup final, but England came out on top when they faced each other in a February 2025 friendly.
It all points towards a thrilling encounter, with City set to play an important role in the blockbuster tie.
