Late goals from Lauren Hemp and Chloe Kelly saw City extend our winning run to eight matches in all competitions with a 2-0 victory over the Foxes.
The visitors had frustrated Gareth Taylor‘s side for 82 minutes at the Joie Stadium before Hemp sent an audacious back-heeled volley into the bottom corner from Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s cross.
A second would follow in equally spectacular fashion soon after, as Kelly found the net directly from a corner to secure a memorable three points.

But attentions now turn swiftly to the Continental Cup, with a quarter-final tie against Tottenham Hotspur on the horizon.
With this in mind, the squad were hard at work once again at the City Football Academy to ensure we’re at our sharpest on Wednesday evening at Brisbane Road.
Indeed, our starting XI from Sunday afternoon took part in a recovery session, while the rest of the squad were put through their paces on pitch.
