Ellie Roebuck; Steph Houghton; Demi Stokes; Esme Morgan; Jill Scott; Keira Walsh; Georgia Stanway; Ellen White; Chloe Kelly; Lucy Bronze and Alex Greenwood have all been selected in Phil Neville’s squad.
The friendly fixture, which will see England tackle Germany away in Wiesbaden, will form another key marker both in the build up to the women’s Euro 2021 tournament as well as looking further ahead to the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The game comes on the back of a training camp held at St George’s Park last month where head coach Phil Neville selected a 30-strong squad which included 10 City players.
It also offers the Lionesses a chance to atone for a 2-1 loss at the hands of Germany when the sides last met at Wembley in November 2019 where Ellen White was on target for England.
The squad will meet up on Sunday, October 18th with the friendly taking place at the Brita-Arena in Wiesbaden on Tuesday, October 27th, kick-off 3pm (UK time).
“It’s exciting to be facing top-class opposition again after such a long lay-off since the SheBelieves Cup earlier this year,” said Neville.
“Germany are currently ranked second in the world so there’s no doubt it will be a tough test for us, but a vital one as we measure our progress against one of the best teams in the world.

“It will give us a clear idea of where we’re at in terms of our squad depth and development as we prepare for the home UEFA EURO in 2022. We want to compete for the highest honours in world football and that means challenging ourselves against the very strongest opposition.
“I was impressed with the performances of a number of younger players who joined our senior squad last month and I look forward to seeing their further integration and development during this camp.”
