It follows City’s superb 2023/24 campaign where we matched our best-ever Barclays Women’s Super League points tally – with the trio instrumental to that success.
Bunny continued her scintillating form in front of goal during last season and broke a swathe of records in the process.
By bagging a staggering 22 goals in all competitions across 25 outings she raised her tally for the Club to 72, surpassing Georgia Stanway’s total of 67 to become our leading all-time women’s scorer.
Her landmark 68th perhaps came on the perfect stage when she scored our third in a 3-1 success over rivals Manchester United in front of over 40,000 supporters at the Etihad Stadium.
What’s more, she earned the division’s Golden Boot award by netting 21 WSL goals which included three hat-tricks across the term which saw her draw level with the most trebles in the competition’s history with five.
England international Hemp once again rubber-stamper her status as one of City’s key influencers last term and was our second-highest goalscorer with 12 across 29 appearances in all competitions.
She also registered nine assists which was our joint most in this key area and she was rewarded for her magical performances with a new contract which will keep her at City until the summer of 2027.
And Hasegawa’s importance on Taylor’s team was highlighted again with the Japan international making 30 appearances in all competitions – the joint most of any Blues player.
Through a combination of expert anticipation, tough tackling and pinpoint passing the midfielder not only thwarted opposition attacks but ignited our own from the base of our engine room.
The 2024 PFA awards ceremony will be held at the Manchester Opera House on Tuesday 20 August where the winners will be announced.
Everyone at City would like to send their congratulations to Bunny, Lauren and Yui on being shortlisted for the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award.
